Education & Experience

I obtained both my Master of Science degree in Counseling, and Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento.  I continue to enhance my skills as a psychotherapist by staying current with the latest research and education through on-going attendance of seminars, conferences, and workshops, as well as frequent interactions with fellow colleagues.  In addition to providing psychotherapy to couples, I also specialize in working with teens and provide supervision to interns working towards licensure as Marriage and Family Therapists. 

Within my years of working with couples, I have successfully provided treatment through both short and long-term therapy.  I have extensive  experience treating matters pertaining to crisis-related issues such as domestic violence, substance abuse/dependency, grief and loss, and mental health diagnoses.
